A little obsessed over yesterdays sighting? Definitely! I'm not afraid to admit how enamoured I was, and I wasn't afraid to show everyone pictures at work and talk about it... Pretty much all day.
Today the crowds were very low everywhere all thanks to the wind and the cold. To me, a very typical Spring day in Alberta. The ride from Mill Creek to the mouth of Mackinnon ravine seemed to go by in a flash. The tire switch this weekend played a big part in it. Going from studs to straight rubber is like being reborn, I did notice this more last night but my mind was too pre occupied with a certain dogs swagger... By swagger, I mean giant balls.
The large amounts of snow still covering all the trails was a little disheartening. It seems as though it will be a long time till things are dry. We are well past my annual April 16th trail opening deadline.
