Not Worth the Drive Out
For my third shitty ride in a row I thought I would start in Capilano. This was by far the worst of the last three rides.
The ice, slush, and water is wreaking serious havoc in the valley and worse havoc on my bike. The singletrack otherwise known as 'Risky Business' was entered and after a couple iced wipe outs and spin outs I retreated. That is with studded tires. I know what you are thinking. The crashes happened when my brakes were locked up on the descents. It didn't take much, after the first crash I lost all confidence in the tires. The second crash happened on the long switchbacks.
I turned around.
I was done.
Do I ride again tomorrow and repeat this? I'm that silly. I just might.
