A Ride at Home

On a night I didn't feel like sitting around I decided to test out the Winter bike for a short roll around Beaumont. Bring the camera? Why not!

I heard the spikes on my tires screaming in agony as most of the paved trails here were swept clear of the skiff of snow that covered them late yesterday afternoon. I cruised to the other end of town (which really isn't that far, in fact it's kinda pathetic on how small it really is.)

The trails run between the backs of houses and I decided to get a serious case of creep and peer into all the homes that left their window coverings open. Once on the outskirts I scared the shit out of myself and rode as hard as I could to get away from my own shadow which I thought was a rabid werewolf (o.k, coyote) chasing me down, only to  rip my chest open and steal my heart and take it into the depths of hell...

Well it didn't take too long to realize it was me and not a werewolf (like only 5 minutes.) It did make me wonder how I ride by myself in the river valley at night though.
