The Dawn of Global Fat Bike Day

An early morning ride through a very quiet cool river valley is one of the greatest things one can do on a Saturday. I honestly cannot think of anything better, yes I even thought of "that" and the bike ride still wins.

It is Christmas decorating day at Lonebiker home base which resulted in the early bike ride. Everything about this ride was perfect. From the coyotes watching me ride by, and the cat out on the prowl who crouched down on the side of the trail trying to avoid being seen by my lights. I told it to watch out for the coyotes as I rode by, but it hissed at me. Cats are assholes.

The ride started at Henrietta Louise and capped out in Mackinnon where I popped out into an unfamiliar neighbourhood and saw the coziest Christmas house that ever existed. I rode through the streets trying to find an entrance back into the ravine and was rewarded heavily with a Winter Wonderland setting as I rode back into Mackinnon ravine where I decided I would cross the High Level Bridge for the second time today. Yes, two High level crossings in one ride. The second crossing I had tears of joy streaming down my face. Or maybe that was the cold wind affecting my eyes? I really need to get goggled up.
