Recover Sunday

A recovery ride that started with a loud scream for all to hear at Henrietta Muir Edwards Park. The scream was me. Once seated on the bike the gooch bit hard and I could not control my displeasure in that terrible feeling.

Yesterday was a long one in the saddle and I felt it today.

The first few kilometres things were quite rough. Between the gooch, the sore legs, and the overall feeling of fatigue from a long ride was there. I did break through and was able to ride somewhat normally.

The ride started with a bridge crossing on the doomed walking bridge and I headed east into the trails taking me to the crazy fence lady. I climbed out and rode the multi use to the Jasper Ave Traverse. I then hit the multi use to Capilano, crossed the river and headed back with temptations to pop my head into Cambodia.

Risky Business is where the high endorphin adrenaline feelings kicked in and multiple trail orgasms quickly followed. The high point was descending that switchback. I was one with the bike and the flow was incredible. Quite the feeling.

Bikes are awesome.

Andre's was than hit and I exited onto the multi use down below taking me to the mouth of Ewok.

The mouth was open and calling my name and I entered willfully. The high trail was the target and my legs quickly gave out on the climb in. Ewok was somewhat ridden after a few exits on the small power climbs.

Not wanting this one to end I skipped the return to the Jeep and rode Skyline and eventually found myself in Mill Creek via Blue Man.

Again highly charged endorphins entered and I rode the high side of Mill Creek singletrack.

I would argue that heroin would not be a better high than this.

I'm going to try heroin in a future post and prove my point.

Mountain bikes combined with trails are no match.

some multi use which included lots of walkers, show respect kids
potty break at the top of a failed climb, i peed right on the trail to show it who's boss
