A Bridge Checkup

A quick roll from Mill Creek where I completely forgot that most of it is shut down due to the bridges being rebuilt. So from my old school parking spot I dropped into the paved and quickly exited and rode through the fine neighbourhoods of the Mill Creek area. Is it called Mill Creek? Well ti should be. That whole area should surround itself and suckle off of Mill Creek ravines awesomeness.

I saw on the local social media that the old Walterdale is pretty much gone and I had to go see. Sadly it was, only the piling on the south side remained. A large flock of pigeons had met and were having a meeting on top as I rode by. Not sure what they were talking about but I'm sure the topics included shitting on stuff.

I then went straight to the new LRT bridge construction and found what looked like little progress was made. That is to the one not knowing of course. It will be neat to see sections spanning the river soon.

All in all, a much better ride than day one. I'm still slow as fuck but I really don't care. If you are heading out the paved trails are very icy. The multi use and singletrack is all good. No slush with some iced sections so heads up.

gonna miss the way this older area was met during rides.
if you zoom in, you will see a snowy river.
