All Hail Ye Merry Bike Lanes

I was up this morning working on the post for the worst rides of twenty two and immediately had a bad feeling about todays ride before work begins again. These rides are usually quite pitiful as I am down in the dumps cause of work and I think it translates to zero energy.

I know, what a loser eh?

I took the Strathcona school start as I hoped bike lanes would help kick me into some sort of gear. The bitch side of me slowly anticipated a blow out and limp back to the Jeep but it never happened. I got to the valley and hummed and hawed at the thought of riding the local singletrack or just booking it on the multi use that takes you to Hawerlak.

I chose to stay on multi use and paved all day. A bold choice that I still stand behind my decision. I knew things would be good after climbing out of that multi use and riding the Hawerlak road backwards like an asshole I found the multi use to Emily Murphy and crossed that wide updated Groat Road bridge and rode along River Valley Road like a chump avoiding all those sweet Emily Murphy to Kinseman singletrack trails.

I chose paved and I don't care. I have to work tomorrow.

I made the great Tawatinâ my cross back point and took MillCreek mid way, pointed myself upwards and rode bike lanes back to my home parking spot.

Pretty damn good bike ride kids.

I have a feeling this will be very annoying
