I may have jinxed them but that is what this was. A game that is being played right now but a faithful blogger will tape it and watch it with the added bonus of fast forwarding through the commercials which sadly make up three quarters of an NFL game. Just ignore incoming text messages with people giving away what's going on in the game and everything will be fine.
A ride from Capilano to Dawson bridge, a crossing and back on the North side was very uneventful and quiet. Why was it so quiet? It was awesome down there today. Some of the only people I saw came at a bad time as I was climbing and sucking wind and I had to choke on the incredibly heavy amount of cologne and perfume that the couple had bathed in before they took their dog for a walk in the river valley. As you and I know, a trip to the river valley does warrant an incredibly amount of cologne or perfume to ward off evil mountain bikers (And it worked). Maybe it was because I was out of breath working my lungs hard but I have never smelled such a strong odor in the valley before. And that includes all the pothead sightings.
