Edmonton Rising

For yet another year we are having our precious trails under threat of flooding. Relentless rain in Alberta which has obviously done much worse down south is now threatening the lower trails in the valley. A trip out with the dogs for a river valley walk reminded me of 2011. Here is hoping it doesn't exceed that year but the river is still rising as I type this..

The amount of people out to see the river was overwhelming considering the media has been making a much bigger deal about this as opposed to 2011. Not surprising considering what has been going on in Southern Alberta lately.

will try to make it back tomorrow and take a photo next to the log on the left hand side
