Beer Friday. Mill St. Brewery, 100TH Meridian Organic Amber Lager

A line that runs from Nanavut down through Brandon, Manitoba and southward through the United States. The 100Th Meridian is a longitude line that most people wouldn't give a jack shit about but The Tragically Hip made a song and now people care.

Why I wouldn't mind taking a visit to Brandon Manitoba to see 'where the great plains begin' just so I could tell myself I was there and check off what would seem like a rather boring life checklist. What the... Ok, what happened to the font? sigh... Looking at Google earth photos of the area and the area looks incredibly boring. New houses and apartments with the personality of a dried up dust rag seem to litter the landscape but hey.. I've been wrong before on here before shockingly.

Maybe you can drive up north or south a bit and get away from the ugly new housing. Somewhere where a farm is. A place that you can be in touch with the song and the music.

If I die of vanity, promise me, promise me

They bury me some place I don't want to be
You'll dig me up and transport me, unceremoniously
Away from the swollen city-breeze, garbage bag trees
Whispers of disease and the acts of enormity
And lower me slowly, sadly and properly
Get Ry Cooder to sing my eulogy

Mill St Brewery started in Toronto in two thousand and four and has grown across the country (even crossing the 100th meridian) with brew pubs in Calgary. Wow.. What is up with this font? You guys seeing this? It keeps changing. I blame the ghost we have in the house. Serious kids. Some strange stuff happens at Lonebiker headquarters.

The pour gave us lots of head but we fought it and it fought back but in the end we got the upper hand and were greeted with a three and a half fingered head that left sexy lacing on the glass as it dissipated. I shuddered and tried to hold back the emotions. This one looked like a winner out of the gate. I'm going to sip it now for the first time. Ok? Hold on a second.

Yes. This one is a definite gooder. The first sip was a teasing of malt and light hops. The second, third and going on sips were malt. That is the definite main identifier here with citrus adding to a slightly but not bad bitterness.

This beer gets 3.5 suds out of 5.

The haunted font gets 1 sud out of 5.

*Edit. We tried fixing the font issues in editing and just got it legible. Lot's of different colours were invading this one. Sorry for the issues.

Happy Thursday

Yes I wussed out because of the weather. Snow and cold hit us but it was light but the cold air mixed with April Alberta wind made things ki...
