I Needed a Lap

A quick ride happened on a day that a ride shouldn't have happened. Lots of yard work happening over at lonebiker headquarters here in Zurich, Switzerland.

No I'm kidding. It's actually Beaumont, Alberta…

I know.. pretty fucking lame right?  Bah ha ha ha ha ha…..

I'm kidding. Beaumont is pretty top notch. it's clean and safe. What more could you ask? Yet compared to Zurich, Switzerland it is pretty much the lamest town in the history of mankind ever.

I mean, come on man! Zurich!

Ugh… why do I go on these short rants? I know… uneventful and boring ride. But you know what? It had it's super fun moments all brought to you by the Octane one.  I look back at it now but I passed a whole family of kids with parents behind the pack and parents in front leading a convoy of kids. These people were smart and instead of just passing by nicely, I sprinted by out of the saddle… I mean, they moved out of the way for me so I'm good right?

There was an immediate hill around the corner which is why the out of the saddle riding occurred, I had slowed down when coming up to the group and when it opened up I sprinted back to speed.

Wow, sometimes I really overthink things.

Guys? You still with me?

So anyways… a bike ride happened today. Reason was a frustrating day of changing fluorescent light bulbs where one broke and calamity occurred shortly after. Prior to that it was a lot of tree trimming and cutting down dead trees and branches in the yard which was sweaty work after a sweaty 85 hour work week. I was exhausted but I rode today anyways. I needed it knowing bikes have that magic powder that turns shitty moods into good ones.

It ended and I was in a better mood. Not super duper but tolerable. Having one of those lights pop on your kitchen floor is kinda lame.

I needed a ride. That damn Telford lake loop and my love for it is showing my age. Oh dear.

Starting to miss my mountain bikes.

Hot Sticky Smoky July Suckiness

They said the temperature cooled down today from the heat wave but thanks to the humidity it was still hot wet and gross. With the new job t...
