June the Wonderful

Finally getting up close and personal with singletrack after what seemed like a rather horrifying start to the good part of the year. it was even better as it was a Kent meet up on some of the best trail conditions on this side of Alberta.

The ride started in Mill Creeks upper pool parking lot. Kent was riding from home as he is a crazy son of a bitch who does that sort of thing. A mixup in the beginning had us meet on Tawatinâ bridge and we rode the north side paved trails to Dawson catching up on things.

We found dirt along the golf course on Dawson Park Access trail? That can't be the name but its really cool as your handlebars have a chance of getting caught in a chain link fence resulting in a horrible wipe out. The trail climbs up to the top in a nice fashionable mix of switchbacks. Higher Education and Snakeback took us on a loop where we found the multi use heading to Capilano.

It was a generous amount of good trails all the way to the new and famous Shooter Mcgavin which is more fun going up in case you were wondering.

A great afternoon in the valley and despite a heavy feeling in my chest there were some good victories today until I eventually hit a wall hard and I limped back to the pool .

* Kent Steeves 2nd pic from top. Yes, some very obvious photo fuckery on my behalf on one. Stop judging.
