Parking Lots & Titanium

A meet up with Kent for a roll around town and an intent to show off my new ride with  the pride of a young Albertan  man who just bought his first pick up.

Only to find out Kent bought a Ferrari.

A Why Cycles titanium gravel bike loaded to the brim with some amazing accessories from I-9 to Zipp blew my mind when I first saw it. The two new bikes looked pretty good together and aside from my duct taped together shorts I was scared women everywhere would fall for us as we rode around the city.

It's happened before and this time we got brand new bikes!

We departed into Mill Creek and remained on paved for a bit then switched to gravel. We crossed the river over the Tawatinâ and tried to get to Concordia for a pre exam ceremony(a photo) on their sacred ground prior to Lonebiker Jr writing her finals next week

Singletrack was ridden and thoroughly enjoyed as we went up Low Class and Higher Education which is chock full of switchbacks and the bikes handled everything quite well. I really have fallen hard for this new bike.

A Concordia blessing was had and Kent showed me a new entrance to the LRT side trail that follows the tracks  and noticed that the homeless situation has gone from horrid toot that bad as it looks like they tried to clean the area up.

The key word was 'tried.' The area is still quite sketchy.

Some parking garages were climbed up and ridden down and some ripping around was had downtown amongst the Saturday evening folks all going out for some fried chicken and oh… I don't know. A prostitute maybe?

This ride was heavy on the prostitute talk for some weird reason. I blame me.

We crossed a busy High Level and eventually departed on our merry ways as he rode home back to Terwillegar. The ride ended and luckily no women or prostitutes fell for us.

*edit. sorry, no new pics of Kents new ride, will try to get them asap.

The Winds Blow in Alberta This Time of Year

Alberta is windy as fuck in April. Hence...you yourself may have complained about the insane wind we have been having lately. I have spouted...
