Beer Friday. The Growlery Beer Co, 1929 Kölsch

How long have we been doing these now? It started in the late Fall of our lords year twenty thousand and nine and its now twenty twenty three. Oh shit…. Is it the fifteenth anniversary!?

Checks math… Oh no, I was way off!

Good, that would have been stressful. At least I don't have to think about it until next year *checks math again.. Yes that is right and if there is anyone smart on here please inform me of the date of the upcoming Lonebiker 15 year anniversary cause I could potentially fuck it up somehow.

What kind of festivities will ensue you ask? I have a clown booked to do fancy balloons so it should be a good time.

Growlery Beer Company has graced our presence in the Edmonton region for some time now. I have no idea how long they have been around cause the internet is not telling me ok. Oh wait…. June 2019. All you have to do is look around their website for half a minute…

We poured this one in front of a full July house and we were blessed with a dirty looking Kölsch that had a clean one fingered head of what looks like dirty fermentation on top of a dirty beer which had some good effects as it went down the glass as it was downed. Well truth be told I can tell that would happen. I have not had a sip yet.

An aroma of light hops and apple came through and we went for our first sip and had hints of a bread like yeast that was also nice and crisp and clean and we had great sips throughout the night as this one was downed. The taste and crispness of this makes it  a definite winner

A nice beer for a nice July evening. Find some.

This beer gets 3.5 suds out of 5.
