Take Two

A quick return back on the bike cause it was just so good on my morning visit. I parked in my usual Mill Creek parking spot and instead of heading into the valley I stayed in town... After all. It is Springtime weather now isn't it?

In a move that many would question my intelligence (oh it happens all the time) I rode down Whyte ave in the dusk hours with very poor visibility. With pretty much no reflective material, if my camelback has any I wouldn't know. The trick to staying healthy was keeping up with traffic, and that I succeeded in doing so. It is very easy to keep with the cars on that road. I even had a few friends giving me encouraging words as they rode next to me in their pick up truck like "nice tights faggot" and "buy a real bike with an engine!" As I dropped them as they got caught in traffic I thought to myself that Ford 4x4 pick ups with Monster Energy stickers on the back window are not so awesome after all. I really love Alberta sometimes and all the hicks that seem to really thrive here!

After Whyte , a trip to to the University and then back into the valley only to pop out again across the river at the legislature, I quickly descended back into the dark menacing valley and my legs decided to throw the white flag.... I limped home through Mill Creek and am now sitting typing this overly satisfied with how my Saturday played out. Even the hillbilly's made my day a little more perfect...

potty break under the high level
the snow...natures bike stands
a self shot of a perplexed rider "wasn't I here already today?"

Happy Monday

I felt the fat bike God's stirring today..
