Slop

On ride number two on this set of days off and the conditions were the complete opposite from yesterday.

Alberta decided to act a little bit like Alberta and we have been basking in a Spring time snowstorm all day. A meet up with Kent on a late afternoon planned trample through the river valley only had a few snags.

* I was a grumpy bitch all thanks to a late afternoon nap.
* I didn't wear Winter shoes even though I knew it was snowing all day.
* The same goes for Winter gloves (you know... Winter conditions.)
* Kent's body odour was a tad off putting ( I had to blame something on him.)

The ride started in the Mackinnon parking lot where we avoided Mackinnon all together the entire ride and headed East. Did we really do that? I mean who avoids Mackinnon when you are in the middle of it basking in all of it's glory?

We did enter another ravine on the ride. A fancy little lady by the name of Mill Creek. We wanted to stay off the trails as much as we could given the conditions. We rode the multi use and quickly my Summer shoes were soaked. The soaked shoes and gloves quickly turned into frozen chunks of meat and the ride was pretty much over.

A shame as this one could have been much better. Beer and poutine made up for the ride that wasn't quite up to par, but yet. A shitty night of riding is always better than a night spent on the couch.

no, i don't hate my bike, i'm just a bit abusive is all
watch yourselves in the valley boys and girls, carnage awaits
a much needed foot un-soaking and warm up

Alberta is windy as fuck in April. Hence...you yourself may have complained about the insane wind we have been having lately. I have spouted...
